There are numerous places to eat in Berlin, so many that this list will be vastly incomprehensive, but the following list is some places we’d say are worth a visit.


Golden Buddha - Gleimstr. 26 (Prenzlauer Berg) :: a good, inexpensive Thai restaurant.  Great veggie food as well.


Frida Kahlo - Lychener Str. 37 (Prenzlauer Berg) :: a nice way to try out Mexican Food in Germany.  [http://www.fridakahlo.de]


Nil -  Grünberger str. 52 (Friedrichshain) :: good Sudanese Imbiß (fast-food).  Good for veggie folk.  [http://www.nil-imbiss.de/kontakt.htm]


Falafel Daye – Danziger str. (Prenzlauer Berg) :: excellent and inexpensive falafel as well as various pizzas. 


Babel – Kastanien Allee (Prenzlauer Berg) :: an excellent Lebanese Restaurant


Malzcafe – Knaackstr. 90 (Prenzlauer Berg) :: good café, good coffee. [http://malzcafe.de/]


Kokebe-- Anklamer Straße 38 (Mitte)  :: great ethopian food.


Buddha Haus - Rykestr. 40 (Prenzlauer Berg) :: excellent Nepali/Tibetan/Indian food. 


Morgenrot - Kastanienallee 85 (Prenzlauer Berg) :: good café with excellent brunch.


Café am Neuen See – Lichtensteinallee 2 (Tiergarten) :: especially beautiful on a sunny day, and located centrally in the park.  Good pretzels and sauerkraut.

Wohnzimmer - Lettestraße 6 (Prenzlauer Berg) :: cute café/bar


The Hole – Rigaer Str (Friedrichshain) :: literally, a hole.


Intersoup - Schliemannstrasse 31 (Prenzlauer Berg) :: nice place for a drink and shows.   Free wireless.  http://www.intersoup.de/


5 Ziegen - Lychener Str. 63 (Prenzlauer Berg) :: lit only by candlelight.  Nice place to chill out.


Morgenrot - Kastanienallee 85 (Prenzlauer Berg) :: (see above listing).
